9:45-10:45 Making Peace from the Pieces The stepmom role is hard. But how we manage our “pieces” determines whether we can find peace in the midst of our challenges. We’ll consider what our role is in finding contentment on our stepmom journey.

10:-45-11:00 Break

11:00-11:45 The Stepmom who Succeeds: Yes!  You can be successful as a stepmom!  What does Stepmom success look like?  We will explore practical tips and tools from seasoned stepmoms and stepchildren.

11:45-1:00 Lunch

1:00-2:00 Questions from the audience for a stepmom panel; Opportunity to submit questions during morning break

2:00-3:00 Persevering with Hope and Encouragement God doesn’t promise an easy path, but He does promise to walk with us. Using her own story of tremendous loss and heartache, Sabrina McDonald will share how she found hope and encouragement to persevere.

3:00-3:30 Prayer

3:30-5:00 Author book signing; Informal time with the team and connection time with other stepmoms

5:00 – Optional dinner together: For those interested, we’ll go to a nearby restaurant for time to relax and visit together.

Sabrina has been a stepmom for five years-her kids have also been stepchildren for five years.  She is the author of three books: The Blessings of Loneliness, Open the Windows of Heaven, and Write God In: Journal Your Way to a Deeper Faith. She’s a writer for FamilyLife, and her articles have been published in Focus on the Family magazine’s regular stepfamily column.  She and her husband, Robbie have appeared on“FamilyLife Today” with Ron Deal several times to talk about stepfamily issues.  Learn more about Sabrina by clicking here.
